INDO TAMBANGRAYA MEGAH ALLOCATED USD 126 MILLION FOR CAPITAL SPENDING - MAJALAH TAMBANG
Somyot Ruchirawat, President Director of PT Indo Tambangraya Megah, Tbk (ITMG), has announced the company's total dividend payment of Rp 1,345 per share. The announcement was made during a press conference following the annual stockholders meeting held on 17 April 2009.
Mr. Ruchirawat also explained that the payment would be completed in three phases, as the company has made two previous payments in 2008. The first payment was made in October 2008, of Rp 344 per share, the second was made in December 2008, of Rp 295 per share. The final payment of Rp 706 per share is scheduled for 28 Mei 2009.
Additionally, the company also announced a total sum of USD 126 million for its capital spending budget for year 2009. The budget was allocated for several activities, i.e. USD 41 million for harbor expansion in Bontang, USD 7 million for Bharinto, USD 6 million for Bontang Power Plant, USD 15 million for Indominco East Block, and USD 57 million for mining development.
According to Mr. Ruchirawat, the company is still monitoring development in the commodity market for acquisitions. “We are planning to acquire several coal mining companies,” he stated.
Although the acquisition source of funding was included in the internal budget, Mr. Ruchirawat has also indicated that the company might also obtain additional loan from banking institution. “We are relying on the company’s internal funding. However, there is also a possibility to obtain additional loan from banking institution,” he concluded.
