INDONESIA HAS EXPORTED AROUND 195.303 MILLION TONS OF COAL TILL END OF NOVEMBER 2009


COALspot.com (Indonesia): China has been the largest single buyer of Indonesian coal in November 2009, by taking 28.69% of  total exported quantity of 22,637,732 tons by Indonesian coal producers. Indonesia exported 6,494,490 MT of coal to China in November and 3,632,049 MT to India. By Importing 3.632 million ton of coal (16.04% of Indonesian export)  , India becoming second largest importer of Indonesian coal. Cambodia was the smallest buyer of Indoensian coal (8000 MT) in November 2009.

The top 5 countries, who imported bigger quantity of Indonesian coal in November are China 6,494,490 MT (28.69%), India 3,632,049 MT (16.04%), Japan 3,042,191 MT (13.44%), South Korea 2,564,664 MT (11.33%) and  Taiwan 2,096,373 MT (9.26%).

78.76% of total export of Indonesian coal consumed by China, India, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

The largest single exporter of Indonesian coal in November was PT. Adaro Indonesia ( 3.21 million tons) and followed by PT. Kaltim Prima Coal (3.06 Million tons).

Adaro Indonesia has exported 3,321,465 MT (14.67%), Kaltim Prima Coal 3,064,621 MT (13.54%), Arutmin Indonesia 1,854,238 MT (8.19%) Kideco Jaya Agung 1,396,161 (6.17%) and Indominco Mandiri 1,359,673 MT (6.01%)

105 coal producing or trading companies were involved in export of total 22.637 million ton of Indonesian coal in November. 

PT. Oorja was a  largest Indonesian coal exporter to India in November (338,800MT), followed by Pt. Adaro Indonesia 332,620 MT,  PT. Jembayan Muarabara 322,511 MT, PT. Kideco Jaya Agung 281,822. MT and PT. Dua Samudera Perkasa 265,711 MT.

PT. Kaltim Prima coal become largest single export of Indonesian coal (906,855 MT) to China in November followed by PT. Adaro Indonesia (806,815 MT), PT. Arutmin Indonesia (773,915 MT), PT.Bukit Asam (448,624 MT) and PT. Indominco Mandiri (387,065 MT)

A coal trader based in Jakarta said that "Indian & Chinese demand for Indonesian material is still very strong and imports could go even higher in the coming months." However he added that, "although the demand was high for Indonesian coal, the low calorific value, higher total moisture coal prices were not attractive for suppliers"

Indonesia has exported around 195,303,558  tons of coal till end of November 2009.
