INDIA'S BHEL IS IN INDONESIA NOW WITH THE COST EFFECTIVE CFBC BASED BOILER TURBINE PACKAGES
 COALspot.com(Indonesia): BHEL, the largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India in the energy-related / infrastructure sector, is now focusing very aggressively to build their strong hold in Indonesia in offering Power related solutions to utilities and Industries.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), currently installing a CFBC based boiler TG package consisting of 120 TPH boiler and a 15 MW back pressure turbine for PT. Indo Bharat Rayon in Purwakarta, central Java.
For the same customer, BHEL has earlier successfully executed 2 units of 10.8 MW each, consisting of Boilers and Double extraction condensing turbines supplying process steam and power. In addition to PT. Indo Bharat Rayon, PT. Adaro Indonesia awarded a 126 TPH CFBC boiler for their power plant & PT. Bumi Resources group have ordered 3 boiler TG packages of 18 MW each at their coal mining areas for captive usage.
The cumulative order value for above projects at current exchange rates is over US$ 80.6 million or Indonesian Rp. 756.097 Billion.
BHEL is looking for bigger CFBC based power plants orders in Indonesia, as Mr. Nath, General Manager cum Country representative for Indonesia and South East Asia, was very confident of getting orders from Indonesia due to BHEL’s experience in this field, quality of work, cost effective solutions and custom tailored plants based on clients requirement.
Mr. Nath, further added that, BHEL is designing boilers (especially CFBC) for power plants based on specification coal which is available near to their clients and it is economically viable to run a power plant at lowest cost.
"BHEL can build power plants using coal which is having very higher total moisture content ( around 50%), lower Gross Calorific Value and even for higher Ash content" says Mr. Nath.
He added, that rather than total moisture, the surface moisture is the prime parameter for design. BHEL’s technical officers, study the quality of coal which will be used as fuel for plant prior to design the plant. BHEL has facilities to test coal by burning in a test combustor, if required, to determine parameters and design boilers accordingly. Thus based on quality of coal BHEL design the plant suitably.
Addition to Coal based power plants, BHEL also is experienced in delivering Hydro & Gas based and solar based power plants in addition to catering to transportation and transmission sectors.
