BUKIT ASAM REDUCES ITS SALES TARGET
Tempo Interactive reported that, PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam Tbk has decided to reduce its sales target this year from 14.5 million tons of coal to 13.2 million tons.
“This reduction is because of the lower demand for coal,” said Bukit Asam's Managing Director, Sukrisno, yesterday (28/9).
However, the company is optimistic that its income this year will increase by between 20 and 30 percent compared to last year’s income of Rp7.2 trillion.
This is because the company has signed a contract for lower shipping prices.
The company is targeting to produce 12 million tons of coal.
“This will depend on weather conditions in the third and fourth quarters of the year,” said Sukrisno.
In order to improve its performance, the company also plans to carry out the acquisition of three mining sites in Kalimantan.
