KOMIPO INVITES BIDS FOR 5200 AND 5700 NAR COAL FOR Q4 2017
 COALspot.com: South Korea state-owned utility Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO) issued an another new tender for 420,000 Metric Tons of Bituminous coal for its Boryeong Power Plant.
According to the tender, the quantity of coal to be purchased is 420,000 Metric Tons (MT) on One Single Fixed Price Based on FOBT. The coal shall be shipped at the port of loading in accordance with the following schedule:
85,000 Mt × 2 shipments of min 5200 - 5500 kcal/kg NAR coal to be loaded 1H or Oct and Nov 2017. 125,000 Mt × 2 shipments of min 5,700 kcal/kg NAR coal to be loaded November & December 2017.
South African & Columbian coal are not allowed to attend the bidding.
According to the tender terms, total moisture (as received basis) of coal for Min 5,700 Kcal/kg NAR should not more than 15% and volatile matter (adb) restricted in between min 22% to max 38 %. The total sulfur (arb) of 5700 NAR coal also limited to max 1%, calorific value minimum 5700 kcal/kg and maximum 6100 kcal/kg NAR and Ash (adb) should not more than 17%.
In the meantime, total moisture (as received basis) of coal for Min 5,200 - Max 5,500 kcal/kg NAR should not more than 23% and volatile matter (adb) restricted in between Min 22% - Max 45%. The total sulfur (arb) of 5200 – 5500 Kcal/kg NAR coal also limited to max 1%, calorific value minimum 5200 kcal/kg and maximum 5500 kcal/kg NAR and Ash (adb) should not more than 20%.
Submissions of bids should not later than August 11, 2017, 14:00 hrs (Korean Standard Time).
The Bid documents can be submitted in person, by mail or courier not later than August 11, 2017, to Mr. You ShinKim/ General Manager / Fuel 1 Team, Smart work center Seoul Power Plant, Korea Midland Power Company Limited, 56, Tojeong-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea.
