KOMIPO INVITES BIDS FOR 750K MT OF 5,700 KCAL/KG NAR COAL
 COALspot.com: South Korea state-owned utility Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO) issued a new tender for 750,000 Metric Tons of Bituminous coal for its Boryeong Power Plant.
According to the tender, the annual quantity of coal to be purchased is 750,000 Metric Tons (MT) on One Single Fixed Price Based on FOBT. The coal shall be shipped at the port of loading in accordance with the following schedule:
125,000 Mt × 4 shipments of min 5,700 kcal/kg NAR coal to be loaded Oct 2017 and Second Half 2018. (Oct 2017 - Min:125k mt Max:250k mt and Second Half 2018 - Min:125k Max:250k mt). 125,000 Mt × 2 shipments of min 5,700 kcal/kg NAR coal to be loaded November to December 2017 (Min:125k mt and Max:250k mt).
Russian and Chinese coal is not allowed to attend the bidding.
According to the tender terms, total moisture (as received basis) of coal for Min 5,700 Kcal/kg NAR should not more than 15% and volatile matter (adb) restricted in between min 22% to max 38 %. The total sulfur (arb) of 5700 NAR coal also limited to max 1%, calorific value minimum 5700 kcal/kg and maximum 6100 kcal/kg NAR and Ash (adb) should not more than 17%.
Bidders can offer one single fixed price for up to a total tendering amount in lots of 125,000MT (+/-10%) One Single Fixed Price Based on FOBT.
Submissions of bids should not later than August 2, 2017, 14:00 hrs (Korean Standard Time).
The Bid documents can be submitted in person, by mail or courier not later than August 2, 2017 to Mr. You ShinKim/ General Manager / Fuel 1 Team, Smart work center Seoul Power Plant, Korea Midland Power Company Limited, 56, Tojeong-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea.
