CHINA IS ESTIMATED TO SEE HIGHEST IMPORTED COAL DEMAND LEVEL IN 2017, POLL SAYS
“Which country is estimated to see highest imported coal demand level in 2017?”
The on-line opinion poll conducted by COALspot.com over 07 November 2016 to 13 November 2016 involved around 197 coal market participants, with respondents, including (likely) Coal end-users, Coal producers, coal Traders and others.
The poll found that 69.04 percent of participants believed that, the China will continue to import more coal in 2017, versus 23.35 percent who says "India" will import more coal. Among the respondents, a 4.06 percent of respondents says “ Japan;s imported coal demand in 2017 will be higher than others while another 3.55 percent says South Korea will import more coal than other countries in 2017.
Some 70.37 percents of likely end-users say “the highest imported coal demand will come from China in 2017" and 22.22 per cent of end-users believed that the India will import more coal in 2017.

What End-User’s says
Some 5.56 percent of likely end-users picked “Japan“ and 1.85 percent, says “South Korea”.
Around 54 likely end-users participated in this on-line opinion poll over 07 - 13 November 2016.
Coal producers
Among the likely coal producers, some 73.17 per cent respondents picked the answer "CHINA" and only 19.51 per cent coal producers say INDIA will see the highest imported coal demand level in 2017.
A 4.88 percent of participants representing likely coal producers say JAPAN will import more coal in 2017 compared 2.44 percent believed SOUTH KOREA will import more coal than China, India and Japan.
Around 41 likely coal producers participated in this on-line opinion poll.
Coal Traders
Among the likely coal traders, some 71.43 percent, say China’s imported coal demand will be higher compared to other countries in 2017. While a 20.63 percent of likely coal traders say "India is estimated to see highest imported coal demand level in 2017".
A 3.17 percent of coal traders believe Japan will import more coal and 4.76 percent of traders say South Korea.
Around 63 likely coal traders participated in this on-line opinion poll last week.
Others
Among the "Others", some 58.97 per cent says China, while 33.33 percent says India. A small number of "Others" say Japan and South Korea.
The COALspot opinion poll was conducted online between 07 November 2016 00:01 GMT to 13 November 2016 23:59 GMT.
The latest poll responded by total 197 visitors, 63 who identified themselves as coal traders, 54 respondents identified themselves as Coal end-users and 41 participants who identified themselves as coal producers.
Around 39 participants identified themselves as “Others”.
