INDONESIAN THERMAL COAL INDEXES CONTINUALLY FIRM UP ON ROBUST BUYING INTEREST - CS COAL INDEX
 COALspot.com: Average 5000 GAR coal index of Indonesian origin rose One percent week over week to averaging $40.38 per ton this past week, shows CS (i) Coal Index weekly closing figures.
According to the weekly CS (i) coal index, the CS 50 (5000 GAR coal) index was up US$ 0.40 per ton week on week and US$ 0.06 per ton day-over-day on 15 July 2016.
The CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index was also increased 1.93 percent week-over-week this past week. CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index was closed at US$ 49.60 a ton on 15 July 2016, a US$ 1.34 per ton higher than US$ 48.26 a ton on 17 June 2016.
The CS (i) Coal index is the newly established price reference for Indonesian coal. CS (i) Coal Index contains independent, real-time price assessments. The Indices are based on the inputs provided by panellists of CS (i) coal index on the real-time basis during Indonesian office hours.
COALspot.com is publishing CS (i) Coal Index for 3800, 4200, 5000 and 5700 kcal/kg GAR coal of Indonesian Origin. A set of these four indices developed by COALspot.com is intended to help the industry to monitor the trend of coal prices on the real-time basis and act as a market forecaster for active coal producers, traders and end-users.
The CS 42 (4200 GAR) Index was ended at US$ 28.33 a ton on 15 July 2016, US$ 0.19 higher compared to 8 July 2016 closing.
CS 38 Index which is representing 3800 GAR coal of Indonesian origin was closed at US$ 22.13 per ton on 15 July 2016 a US$ 0.30 higher compared to the same period last week.
Year-On-Year (15 July 2015 - 15 July 2016)
According to past CS (i) coal index records, the CS 38 index sheds at least 17.64% year over year or since 15 July 2015 to date (15 July 2016). While the CS 42 and CS 50 indices fell around 9.14% and 7.25% respectively since 15 July 2015 to date (15 July 2016).
CS 57 index was slipped 8.62% year on year (since 15 July 2015).

CS 42 - TM 35%, Ash 6% Max, Sulphur 0.8% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 4,200Kcal/kg
CS 50 - TM 26%, Ash 7% Max, Sulphur 0.8% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 5,000 Kcal/kg
CS 57 - TM 18%, Ash 12% Max, Sulphur 1.0% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 5,700 Kcal/kg
