DUE TO LONG HOLIDAYS, CS COAL INDICES HELD AT THE SAME LEVEL OF THE PREVIOUS WEEK
COALspotCOALspot.com: Average 5000 GAR coal index of Indonesian origin was flat week over week to averaging $39.98 per ton this past week.

Due to the Idul Fitri holidays, Indonesia's business activities have been closed for one full week In Indonesia last week. Because of last week's holiday, coal prices held at the same level of the previous week ( 1 July 2016).

According to the CS (i) coal index, the CS 50 (5000 GAR coal) index was flat week over week and day-over-day on 8 July 2016.

The CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index was also flat week-over-week this past week. The CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index closed US$ 48.66 a ton on 8 July 2016, no change from 1 July 2016.

The CS (i) Coal index is the newly established price reference for Indonesian coal. CS (i) Coal Index contains independent, real-time price assessments. The Indices are based on the inputs provided by CS (i) coal index Panelists on the real-time basis during Indonesian office hours.

COALspot.com is publishing CS (i) Coal Index for 3800, 4200, 5000 and 5700 kcal/kg GAR coal of Indonesian Origin. A set of these four indices developed by COALspot.com is intended to help the industry to monitor the trend of coal prices on the real-time basis and act as a market forecaster for active coal producers, traders and end-users.

The CS 42 (4200 GAR) Index closed at US$ 28.14 a ton on 8 July 2016, US$ 0.02 higher compared to 1 July 2016 closing.

CS 38 Index which is representing 3800 GAR coal of Indonesian origin was closed at US$ 21.83 per ton on 8 July 2016 no change from the previous week.

Year-On-Year (10 July 2015 - 8 July 2016)
According to past CS (i) coal index records, the CS 38 index sheds at least 18.99% year over year or since 10 July 2015 to date (8 July 2016). While the CS 42 and CS 50 indices fell around 10.55% and 9.03% respectively since 10 July 2015 to date (8 July 2016).

CS 57 index was slipped 11.09% year on year (since 10 July 2015).

CS 57 Coal Index flat 2.64%

CS 38 - TM 40%, Ash 5% Max, Sulphur 0.4% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 3,800 Kcal/kg
CS 42 - TM 35%, Ash 6% Max, Sulphur 0.8% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 4,200Kcal/kg
CS 50 - TM 26%, Ash 7% Max, Sulphur 0.8% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 5,000 Kcal/kg
CS 57 - TM 18%, Ash 12% Max, Sulphur 1.0% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 5,700 Kcal/kg
