FOB INDONESIA COAL SWAPS FIRM SLIGHTLY LAST WEEK
 COALspot.com: Indonesian coal swap delivery Q1 2016 declined month over month and week over week.
According to AsiaClear OTC coal swap's reports released on 8 January 2016, the Q1 2016 swap up slightly or US cents 10 to US$ 36.95 month over a month.
FOB Indonesia coal swap
According to this past week’s SGX data, average sub-bit FOB Indonesia coal swap for delivery Q2’16 flat month over month and up by $0.20 per ton on 8 January—compared to the prices the previous week.
The SGX's data further indicates that, FOB Indonesia coal swap for Q3 2016 delivery lost US$ 0.15 (-0.41%) per ton month on month and closed at US$ 36.35 per MT.
Sub-bit FOB Indonesia coal swap, as per SGX's data, particularly for Q1,Q2 and Q3 2016 deliveries up week on week.
SGX Asia Clear OTC Sub-Bit Indonesian coal for Q1 2016 delivery swap closed US$ 0.60 (1.62%) higher compared to average Q3 2016 delivery price of US$ 36.35 on 8 January 2016. In the meantime, Q3 delivery price slightly ( US$ 0.20/ton) lower compared to Q2 closing price.
Coal futures have falling, hit by excess coal output and compared to the demand for coal and a slowdown in India and China buying. India, one of the huge coal consumer and importer, has also started to import less volume recent months as its domestic output has begun improving.
According to Coal Secretary of India, coal imports will continue to come down in the ongoing fiscal, as unprecedented increase in output of the fossil fuel by state-owned Coal India Ltd. The Coal Index, the state-owned firm, which accounts for over 80% of the domestic coal production, is eying to 1 billion tones production by 2020.
China’s coal imports fell drastically in 2015 compared to 2013 and 2014 imports. The trend is expected to continue in 2016.
