5000 GAR CS (I) COAL INDEX REMAIN THE SAME OVER LAST WEEK
 COALspot.com: The 5000 GAR CS (i) coal index remain the same over last week.
According to the CS (i) coal (system generated) index, the CS 50 (5000 GAR coal) was flat day on day and week on week on 4 December 2015.
While, the CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index also closed at US$ 51.05 a ton on 4 December 2015 no change compared to US$ 51.04 a ton closed on 27 November.
The CS (i) Coal index is the newly established price reference for Indonesian coal. CS (i) Coal Index, contains independent, real-time price assessments. The index are based on the inputs provided by CS (i) coal index panelists on real-time basis during Indonesian office hours.
COALspot.com is publishing CS (i) Coal Index since 17 September 2015 for 3800, 4200, 5000 and 5700 kcal/kg GAR coal of Indonesian Origin. A set of these four indices developed by COALspot.com is intended to help the industry to monitor the trend of coal prices on real-time basis and act as a market forecaster for active coal producers, traders and end-users.
The CS 42 (4200 GAR) index closed at US$ 27.19 per ton for the same period, no change compared to 27 November 2015.
CS 38 which is representing 3800 GAR coal of Indonesian origin was closed at US$ 22.10 per ton on 4 December 2015 US cents 10 lesser compared to previous week closing.
According to CS (i) coal index’s past records, the CS 38 index has lost at least 28.15% since 2 January 2015. Meantime, the CS 42 and 50 indices have lost around 28.10% and 19.65% respectively since 2 January 2015. CS 57 index was lost around 14.83% since 2 January 2015.
CS 38 - TM 40%, Ash 5% Max, Sulphur 0.4% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 3,800 Kcal/kg
CS 42 - TM 35%, Ash 6% Max, Sulphur 0.8% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 4,200Kcal/kg
CS 50 - TM 26%, Ash 7% Max, Sulphur 0.8% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 5,000 Kcal/kg
CS 57 – TM 18%, Ash 12% Max, Sulphur 1.0% Max and Calorific Value (GAR) 5,700 Kcal/kg
