DRY BULK INDICES WEAKEN SLIGHTLY THIS WEEK
 COALspot.com: The freight market was flat to weak for the week starting from 27 April. The BDI was fell around 2.17% closed at 580 points.
In the meantime, the cape index was up 5.32 percent and closed at 574 points while the Panamax index was down 5.55% for week ending 1 May 2015.
The supramax was almost at same levels or just lost 0.48 % to 621 points and the handy size index was dropped 2.30% to 340 points.
In the Far East/SE Asia the freight rates were steady with supramax charter rates delivery Singapore was around $7500 per day for trip via Indonesia to India. The Panamax charter rates were steady and ships were rating around $4500 per day delivery China for a trip via Indonesia to India.
Freight rates are expected to be steady/soft next week.
The average charter rates were reported $3,211 per day for Cape, $5155 per day for Panamax, $6494 per day for Supramax and $5063 per day for Handy size.
The three years (2015-2017) future for Cape at$12,000 per day, Panamax at $ 8,500 per day, Supramax at $8,500 per day and Handy size at $7500 per day.
The S8 route for Supramax was almost soft or down by 4.86% week over week. The Supramax S8 route was closed at $ 6,125 per day (last week $ 6438 per day) end of last week.
Freight rates from Indonesia to India is expected to be flat to soft next week.
The Brent crude oil price was firm and up 1.80% and closed at $66.46 per barrel (last week $65.28 per barrel). The bunker prices were firm and closed at $ 366.50 pmt (IFO 380 cst ex Singapore on 1st May 2015).
