ARGUS MEDITERRANEAN SOLID FUELS 2015 CONFERENCE | 2-3 JUNE, ISTANBUL
 Press Release: Argus Media is proud to announce Argus Mediterranean Solid Fuels, which will be held in Istanbul,on 2-3February.
Argus produces, jointly with IHS McCloskey, the API indexes, which are the standard industry benchmarks. More than 90% of the world’s coal derivatives are priced against these indexes. The 2015 conference will therefore be relevant for those involved in the Mediterranean coal market, bringing together senior government officials, and suppliers, distributors, traders and consumers of solid fuels across Turkey, Egypt, Morocco and Western Europe.
Acting supporting partners, Assocarboni (General Association of Coal Operators) and AUCBM (Arab Union for Cement and Building Materials), will be helping toraise the profile of the logistical challenges of solid fuel trade within the Baltic.CMC Marketing, owned in equal parts by Anglo American, BHP Billiton and Glencore, will be exhibiting at the conference.
Advisory board members and speakers consisting of commercial, industrial and municipal figureheads helped shape the structure of the two-day programme,including, Turkey’s Head and Directorate General for Energy Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Dr Ozturk Selvitop. Zakariyae Tajani, Fuel Procurement Managerof the Office National de l’Electricite et de l’Eau (ONEE),Emre Kaymakcalan, Import Managerof Oytas, andother industry authorities from across the Euro-Mediterranean landscape will be meeting in June.
The conference expects to play host to a similar demographic as last year’s;with Lafarge, Capex, Fuelmed, Heidelberg Cement Trading, AURUM, Titan Cement Egypt, Mercuria Energy Trading, Mediterraneo Group and othersuppliers, traders, refiners andindustry associations from Europe and the Middle East. International Businesses from the US and Asia-Pacific will also be strongly represented.
