BDI DECLINED LESSER THAN 1% WEEK OVER WEEK; INDO-INDIA FIRM
 COALspot.com: The most of indices, including bulk dry index were falling this week. The BDI has been down by just 0.53 points and closing at 562 points.
The cape index was heavily declined or lost almost 20 pct week over week and closed at 378 points. The Panamax index was also down 0.34 percent closing at 585 points. The Supramax and Handy size indices were up closing at 606 points (up by 7.07 pct) and 368 points (up by 4.54 pct) respectively.
In the Far East/SE Asia, the freight rates were steady as supramax charter rates delivery Singapore were around US$ 7000 per day for trip a via Indonesia to India. While, Panamax charter rates were also steady and ships delivery Indonesia was reported fixed at around US$ 6,000 per day for trip to India. Freight rates expected to be steady on supramax vessels and panamax vessels.
The average charter rate for Cape reported at US$ 2,830 per day, Panamax at US$ 4,692 per day , Supramax at US$ 6,334 per day and Handy size at US$ 5,363 per day.
The futures for three years (2015-2017) were reported at around US$ 14000 per day for Cape, US$ 9,000 per day for Panamax, US$ 9,000 per day for Supramax and US$ 7500 per day for Handysize.
The route S8 route for supramax vessels continued to be firm and was up by 11.90 pct closing at US$ 6,081 per day (last week US$ 5357 per day). Freight rates from Indonesia to India is expected to be steady to firm next week.
The Brent crude oil prices was down by 8.47 pct closing at US$ 54.67 per barrel (last week US$ 59.73 per barrel). The bunker prices were soft and closed at 323.50 pmt (IFO 380 cst ex Singapore on 13th March 2015).
