DJMBP HAS ANNOUNCED SECOND BATCH OF CLEAR N CLEAN CERTIFIED MINERS
 COALspot.com - The Directorate general of mineral & coal of Indonesia has announced second batch of companies who have passed IUP Clear and Clean certification process on 28th February 2012.
Total 373 IUP holders including 199 coal mining companies have been cleared and issued as IUP "clear and clean" holders.
The verification has been conducted by the Directorate general of mineral & coal according to the Government regulation PP 23 Year 2010 and circular letter of minister Energy & Mineral Resources of Indonesia ESDM No 03.E/31/DJB/2009.
On 3rd July 2011, Government has also cleared 1,509 IUP holders ( coal mining companies) as clean and clear holders.
Exisitng coal IUP concessions overlapped with other IUP/KK/PKP2B or the license was not issued in accordance with the applicable IUP terms and condition, may not receive clear and clean certificatation from DJMBP.
According to Industry sources, the government has received to verify more than 5000 coal mining IUP’s which were issued by provinces and regents.
However as of 28 February 2012, government has cleared only around 1,879 (including 3rd July 2011 announcement) IUP’s (coal concessions) have been issued clear and clean certificate. For those who have not been declared as clear and clean IUP's, still require compliance with requirements of the licensors to be processed for further verification.
