5300 ADB COAL WILL BE AT US$ 60/TON IN THIS QUARTER - RAIN
COALspot.com - PT Resource Alam Indonesia Tbk (KKGI) seeing the average selling price of its coal for the third quarter of this year will increase to US$ 60/ton. The company also forecasting the average selling price for this year will be around US$ 59.8/ton, said Eric Tirtana, head of investor relations of Resource Alam Indonesia, when contacted by COALspot.com.
“Insani Bara Perkasa part of PT Resource Alam Indonesia was producing coal with calorific value 5300 kcal/kg on adb basis from East Kalimantan. “The coal prices will increase coming months,” Eric further added.
Resource Alam Indonesia will produce 3.5 million tons of coal in this year. The production of coal had been increasing significantly each month since January 2011. Insani Bara Perkasa is part of KKGI is Indonesia’s tenth largest coal miner in terms of concessions. Insani Bara Perkasa has a total area of 24.478 hectares and producing coal with calorific value 5300 kcal/kg on adb basis.
According to the company’s statement few days ago, In the first quarter of 2011, the average selling price of its coal has reached US$ 50.30/ton and US$ 58.50/ton during the second quarter. The average selling price for the first half of this year was at US$ 54.40 per ton, and company is forecasting the average selling price of 2011 will be settled at US$ 59.80/ton.
The statement further said that, the company has produced 261,450 mt in January 2011, the production had increased to 300,070 metric ton and 451,847 mt by the end of March and June respectively. The company is targeting 3.5 million metric ton of coal to produce in this year.
In the January 2011, company has sold 311,100 mt and 395,098 tons in the April followed by 450,883 metric ton in the June 2011.
The company's average production cost was also under control , and the cost of production was stable and will be expected to be same until the end of this year, according to statement. The cost of production of coal per ton for the first quarter was at US$ 24.90/ton, but slightly up in the second quarter. The second-quarter production cost was increased marginally to US$ 26.40 per ton compared to first H1 cost.
The average of cost of production for the H1 2011 was at US$ 25.70/ton, and company is forecasting the average cost of production for this year will be at around US$ 28.40 per ton, said, Eric.
