KOMIPO INVITES BIDS FOR 0.78 MILLION TONS OF BITUMINOUS COAL
 COALspot.com: South Korea state-owned utility Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO) issued a new tender for 780,000 Metric Tons of Bituminous Coal for its Boryeong Power Plant.
Bidders are requested to offer with quotation in a fixed price up to feasible amount of coal in lots of 125,000 MT X 4 of 5,700 kcal/kg NAR coal for Dec. 2016 to 4Q 2017 delivery and 280,000 MT of 4,600 kcal/kg NAR coal for 1Q 2017 to 4Q 2017 (70,000×4) delivery on FOBT basis.
1st CY (December 2016~December 2017), 2nd CY(January 2018~ December 2018), 3rd CY(January 2018~ December 2019). According to tender terms, Russian and Chinese coal suppliers are not allowed to attend this tender.
KOMIPO requires suppliers to offer Bituminous Coal with the quality such as total moisture (as received basis) max. 15%, volatile matter (adb) 22 – 36%, total sulfur (arb) max 1% and Ash (adb) max 17% and Min 5,700 on Net Calorific Value.
KOMIPO also requires the supplies of min 4,600 NAR Low calorific value coal with the quality such as total moisture (arb) Max. 28%, volatile matter (adb) 22 – 45%, total sulfur (arb) max 1% and Ash (adb) max 17%.
Submissions of bids should not later than October 28, 2016, 14:00 hrs (Korean Standard Time).
The Bid documents can be submitted in person, by mail or courier not later than October 28, 2016 to Mr. Min-Soo Kim, General Manager / Fuel & Resource Team, Smartwork center Seoul Power Plant, Korea Midland Power Company Limited, 56, Tojeong-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea.
