COALspot.com: Average 5000 GAR coal index of Indonesian origin rose 1.78% week over week to averaging $41.85 per ton this past week, shows CS (i) Coal Index weekly closing figures.
According to the weekly CS (i) coal index, the CS 50 (5000 GAR coal) index was up US$ 0.73 per ton week on week and US$ 0.40 per ton day-over-day on 5 August 2016.
The CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index was also increased 0.61 % percent week-over-week this past week. CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index was closed at US$ 51.22 a ton on 5 August 2016, a US$ 2.56 per ton higher than US$ 48.66 a ton on 1 July 2016.
The CS (i) Coal index is newly established an independent coal benchmark forecast for Indonesian particular coal types. The CS (i) Coal indices are generated through a Technology aided system, based on COALspot’s own proprietary algorithm requiring minimal human involvement. Therefore, these can be considered as a set of highly transparent & realistic indices for the Indonesian coals of 5700, 5000, 4200 and 3800 GAR grades.

The CS 42 (4200 GAR) Index was ended at US$ 29.91 a ton on 5 August 2016, US$ 0.86 higher compared to 29 July 2016 closing.
CS 38 Index which is representing 3800 GAR coal of Indonesian origin was closed at US$ 22.62 per ton on 5 August 2016 a US$ 0.22 per ton higher compared to the same period last week.

According to past CS (i) coal index records, the CS 38 index sheds at least 13.76% year over year or since 7 August 2015 to date (5 August 2016). While the CS 42 and CS 50 indices fell around 3.17% and 2.71% respectively since 7 August 2015 to date (5 August 2016).
CS 57 index was slipped 2.71% year on year (since 7 August 2015).
